Toronto, Vancouver and Yellowknife have been ranked the top sustainable cities in Canada.
The annual rankings by Corporate Knights magazine puts Toronto ahead of Edmonton in the big-city category.
Vancouver edged out two-time medium city winner Halifax because of its stricter greenhouse gas reduction goals and green space.
The magazine says Yellowknife is the top small-city for a third straight year because of its extensive trail network that allows a quarter of its residents to walk to work.
